Ways to find appropriate Scholarships

I want a scholarship, goggled it, Ahh I am confused.....

Enter the word "scholarships" in Google search bar, hit enter and bam, a list of hundred sites show up containing information about hundreds of scholarship. Now what to do which site to see, which country to choose?? Oh man!! I am confused.

Most of us face this situation many times when we are trying to search the most suitable and appropriate scholarships for ourselves.

" Never ever search scholarships from every country, you will get lost and will never find appropriate scholarship"

First things first. Always first search for country and university which suites best for you in terms of your qualifications before even searching for scholarships.

Why I should search universities instead of searching scholarships??
Almost every university and institute will have a scholarship and financial aid section on their websites. Where scholarships offered by the university and other 3rd parties will be displayed relevant to that university. So by only finding universities you will find even more scholarships. Most universities not often publish scholarships offer by them. Following two sites will help you in searching the relevant universities,

Documents are every thing. Arrange all of your documents as soon as possible. Usually following documents are required for getting admission in any country.

1) Diploma certificate/ Degree
2) Transcript (Showing courses studied, credit hours and grades earned)
3) Language proficiency  certificate (IELTS, TOEFL in case of english)
4) Valid Passport
5) Any other certificate which depicts your skills.
6) A self motivational letter (letter about your motivations and reasons for selecting the university)
7) A personal letter (A letter for introducing yourself and your aims)

Having a scanned copy of all these certificates is always recommended.

Eligibility: Found a university which suits your academic back ground and your future aims.Always have a look on eligibility requirements.

Finding the scholarship: As I mentioned above most of the university websites will have a scholarship and financial aid section. Go through that section and you will find suitable scholarships for yourself. Give a one time search on goggle for scholarship for that particular country and university.

Found a university. Yeah! I am eligible to apply...

Never be late. Never apply late for admissions. Apply asap, the earlier you apply the better the chance for you to get selected. Most universities have online applications systems. Always select the online application system for applying, it is most convenient and efficient.

Feel free to comment and share your views and experiences.
